This is by far one of the best Download Manager plugins you can find on the WordPress repository. it has the most needed features with an intuitive, easy to use interface.
If you want more options you can get some of the paid add-ons. I have been using it for a few days now in a heavy traffic site with no issues so far.
With a 6+ years history and constant updates, it looks like one you can rely on for years to come.
