problem creating parent and subcategories with same names

Hi, on the webshop i’m building i will have two parent categories: Dog and Cat. but i will have subcategories with the same names but different products under each parent category. for example:

Cat:
– drink & food bowls
– travel
– food
– toys

Dog:
– drink & food bowls
– travel
– food
– toys

i can’t figure out how to achieve this?

i have only been able to do it like the following, but i do not wish “cat” and “dog” to appear by the category names.

Cat:
– cat drink & food bowls
– cat travel
– cat food
– cat toys

Dog:
– dog drink & food bowls
– dog travel
– dog food
– dog toys

i haven’t linked the page because it is not completed yet.
