Hello,
I have installed your plugin on this page and the visitors love it, so thank you for this 🙂
At the same time we need to make sure, that the site meets the legal requirements of the GDPR. Our cookie-banner (Name: “Complianz”) helps us to comply by blocking cookies and scripts before the visitor will agree with the transmission their IP-Address or not. If they don’t agree (by clicking the appropriate button on the banner), the site must stay disconnected from the Google servers.
But the cookie-banner-plugin is able to block the connection, because the script which connects the site with Google Translate, is already running before the cookie-banner starts.
Actually, the connection should be established only after the visitor clicks on the translate-button and when doing this, needs to confirm that they agree about the connection with google servers.
This is how websites who target EU-visitors are obliged to work nowadays 🙁
Our authorities are raising penalties if we do not comply.
Pls help, thank you
Sascha
