I had an original JPG image of a too big file (1,7Mb) which I uploaded and was handled by Smoosh. After that it was around 650KB, still very large if I compared with manually compressing at https://squoosh.app/ which made the JPG image 35KB. Because the difference is too big I decided to remove the Smoosh plugin and do manual compression.
