Media / attachment URL Question

Hi,

Recently I’ve noticed the different settings and combinations possible for Media / attachment Urls.

In “Advanced Settings” I have “Redirect Attachments to Post Parent” checked

Also in “XML Sitemap” settings I have “Media / attachment” checkbox unchecked for “Post Types.

Do I have to check the “Media / attachments” checkbox to “Default to Noindex” as well?

Or just with the above settings is enough to handle “Media / attachments” Urls?
