Empty anchor tag created if post_thumbnail

I’m having trouble with an empty anchor tag showing up if I include the post thumbnail parameter IF I use the parameter wrapper="ul".

The thumbnail is linking correctly to the post but an additional <a class="image"></a> is created just before the thumbnail.

I appreciate your assistance and work on this plugin!
