Failing to test database, but it exists

Hi, the title is only a part of the strange issue I have…

When I run installer.php, everything is checked as Good, even mysqli.
In the next page, I compile the database data, which exists and is running. The phpMyAdmin page correctly reports that PHP is version 7.2 and mysqli is installed.
Though, the test fails with a generic “internal server error”. But the strangest thing of all is that the installer log reports as the error MSG:Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function mysqli_connect().

I really don’t understand what the problem is, I have double checked the PHP configuration in CPanel and everything is alright…

Can you help me? 🙂
