I’m trying out different themes on a site, and I’ll need to play with the settings in the Customizer to know if a new theme will work for me, and I also want to show the top candidates to another person once I get them a bit tuned. Naturally some Customizer settings are unique to a particular theme, but my question is about the settings that are common to all. Some of those settings seem to keep their values independent between themes (even between a parent and child theme, which really surprised me), while others seem to be global. It there a rhyme or reason to which ones are global? After tweaking things for theme A, I don’t want tweaks for theme B to mess up A, if you know what I mean. At first I thought they were all independent, but then I added a tagline while working with theme B, and when I switched back to A the tagline showed up, so there are clearly exceptions.
