There has been a critical error on your website.

In WordPress, I updated 4 plugins (Jetpack, Thrives Theme Builder, Really Simple SSL, Word Press Quiz Builder) and then I proceeded to activate the last plugin as the rest were already activated.

I then got a screen with the following message:

There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

This has happened before. Last time the issue was caused when I updated my PHP and I simply resolved it by reversing that action. This time I am at a complete loss as to what to do. I cannot even enter the backend of my WordPress site and I am unclear how simply updating/activating a plugin could do this.

I am not a developer and I don’t know to code so the WordPress ‘debugging’ information site was not very helpful for me to follow.

Please help me!

Thank you-
Sara
