The only plugin that satisfied my media folders use case

So I wanted to organize my media files (primarily audio) in an arbitrary folder structure, and from those folders, put the files into playlists inside my posts.
I wanted all these files to be part of the Media Library, i.e. registered in it.
In addition to that, I wanted to use a CDN for all the media files.

This case was satisfied by X4 Media Library + W3 Total Cache. No other free folders plugin, or combination of plugins, had the folder functionality I needed. Even in paid versions.

Yes X4 is buggy and kind of half baked but it’s free, as of yet.
