font awesome icon not showing

First thanks for this amazing plugin. Exactly what I was looking for and really clean and user friendly!

I want to show the search font awesome icon and placed “<i class=”fas fa-search”></i>” this in the input field in the settings of your plugin. But it is not showing in the search bar (see https://academy.bell-coaching.com/oefeningendatabase/).

There is also no error in chrome console. Do you have a solution for this?
