Hello,
I have my own WordPress / WooCoommerce website and I also manage the online store for another WP site.
Today the owner of the site I manage told me that he couldn’t process any payments as the payment details for his online store were replaced with the details of an expired credit card under my name.
I used admin access to log in to all WordPress sites, but I am 100% positive I didn’t make this change, so how is this possible?
The owner of the site told me that, according to his developers, I must have logged into both accounts at the same time and the cookies changed the information.
I no longer have admin access, so I can’t see many details.
So my questions are:
– How and why did this happen?
– What other information could be damaged?
– How can I avoid this in the future?
