HELP ! ! ! !
I’m presently transferring my extensive site (aerialsandtv.com) to WordPress from Webplus because Google is down ranking it as being (in its view) not mobile friendly.
The site is very popular (or used to be before downranking ! ) partly because, just like Wikipedia, it’s got loads of cross links, in fact there are literally thousands..
The problem is that I cannot find a way to easily create anchors and then be able to find them again when wanting to put in a link to them. If I want to put a link to another page (in WordPress) it’s no problem, it brings up a list of pages and I click on one and its done. BUT, if I want to put a link in to an anchor I can’t get it to bring up the anchors at all. The only way I can see to do it is to have a separate list of anchors and manually copy and paste every anchor into the link. That will take forever and be very complicated to administer.
Surely that can’t be the only way to do it ?
Also, is there any way to run a check if all the internal links are good without having to publish the site and then use (say) Xenu ?
