I actually have a subscription that I haven’t really been taking advantage of because I switched hosts that does a great job on daily backups but I’m still using the Jetpack plugin for my images and my CDN handles the rest.
I just switched my user login name to my author name so they’re in synch. This way – when someone clicks on my author name – the URL is correct.
However, now I needed to re-synch Jetpack with my entire site, which is painfully slow and creating some performance issues on the site. Is this normal behavior? To me – it looks stuck but I see it inching ever so slowly. It’s been hours now and just wanted to make sure it’s going to complete at some point.
I’d send in a support ticket but I can no longer login to Jetpack with my new username nor my old one, which is no big deal as long as the synching is able to finish.
I’ve done all my work on the site today tidying things up and cleaning up my sloppy code.
I’ll walk away for a few hours unless you tell me otherwise. Hopefully, it will finish on its own but if not – I’m gonna need some help. Thanks!
