I am shocked at this new draconian rule. It ruins everything WordPress is supposed to stand for: free, robust, interactive, community-fueled.
It takes a lot of really hard work to get your blog set up the way you want to, and sometimes (sometimes often) things go wrong. I haven’t been over here in maybe a year, but I have a problem that needs other WP users for suggested answers or reactions. Over the years, I have come to expect (and get, 90% of the time) helpful fast answers that make me feel not quite as alone with a platform that I only partly understand. (and, uh, Codex rarely helps.)
It almost seems like this 72 hour hold is a way to push users to wordpress.com, or to your (for profit) work for hire boards.
I also notice you don’t even have a direct link to the forums in the menu anymore. Wow. I’m extremely disappointed by this new, unfriendly, time-insensitive attitude by WP. Someone in another thread about this topic, a Mod, said not everyone is a hobby blogger.
That’s kind of insulting. Hobby or work, this is the main conduit for anyone with any type of business or action plan, and we all want to succeed and do our best. And waiting 3 days sounds like WP doesn’t even want to help at all.
