I am trying to install WordPress locally on my MAC, but encountered an error. I have installed MAMP (free version) and was successful. I proceeded to download the WordPress 5.2.2. I copied the contents of the WordPress folder to applications/MAMP/htdocs folder. Went to my Mamp localhost:8888/MAMP/?language=English and clicked on My Website tab, but instead of being able to proceed with the WordPress installation, I got a blank page and the words that say Index of/ on the top left corner. I don’t know how to proceed after this. Am I missing a step? Totally clueless and I would appreciate any help. Many thanks
