There was a topic opened at https://wordpress.org/support/topic/stop-sharing-your-data/ that’s marked now “Resolved.”
But it’s clearly still an issue and follow-on questions are being ignored.
Before 3.6.5 I followed the advice to reset the data sharing option at https://cld.wthms.co/DuvsZU. The engineer said that would restore a banner with the opt-in once again as an option. I took that to mean that’s WC’s way of saying, “You’re not opted in.” But the banner never showed. So that’s one big NO confidence vote.
Now that I’ve updated to 3.6.5 I’m looking for the opt out procedure described at https://woocommerce.com/usage-tracking/ and it’s simply not there. This is a second big NO confidence vote.
Please help restore my confidence in WC and show me how to opt out of sharing my client’s data without their permission.
