This is a related question to another topic. I wanted to clarify for every user having following issue, as I noticed, that many have that problem and it might often have been related to the same problem:
When updating the custom texts you want to display with the GDPR banner, it does not actually update upon saving the texts.
After hours of checking the source files, I finally found the answer in the mentioned topic. It is not properly answered though, so I want to clarify. Whenever you have a multilanguage website, make sure to change to a certain language before editing/saving new texts in the GDPR Compliance App’s setting. This can be done at the top of the WordPress Admin site, when it says “Show all languages” then you have NOT changed yet and it will NOT display texts upon saving them.
Dear support and developers
I suggest to either add a script scanning for multi-language scripts and therefore then adding a warning message, or even a button on your script to change between the languages. Or you should maybe just hardcode this warning with a link to this post.
If you rather want to delete the topic here, no problem, it was meant well.
