Installed plugin page is non-responsive

I am only working on the desktop version of WordPress right now. The site is not yet live. For the last few days, the installed plug-in page has gone completely non-responsive. The entire page is unclickable. I am not sure whether it happened after I installed any particular plugin. But in any case, now I am unable to deactivate or delege any plugin from that page. I am still able to install a plugin from the ‘Add New’ link on the left-hand menu, but once installed, I cannot activate that plugin.

I have tried out the routine fixes, including reinstalling the WordPress 5.1.1, but nothing seems to have worked.
