Load location from URL Query

First off, awesome plugin! My question:

Is there anyway to pass a URL query to the map on load? For example:

https://examplesite.com/locations/?zip=66212

and have the map use 66212 as the default zip to search for?

If this functionality is not built it, is there a filter that I can hook into that fires before a map has been initialized, but after a page has loaded, where I might be able to manually parse the URL and then change the map defaults on load?
