Here’s an example, I use Smart Coupons from WooCommerce, but I don’t use it for any Front-End customer facing pages. Yet, Smart Coupons will still load some css file, on every page of mine…
So with Asset Cleanup plugin, I was able to remove it from ALL pages/posts/products, etc… If I do need this css file though, for example in the (My-Account) section, this is where Smart Coupons will show coupons to my customers… I can then choose to display it just on that page..
I’m writing all of this because I am ecstatic, my Page Speed score, went from 11, to 50… I still have work to do, but very quickly I was able to improve my website performance.
But be warned… If you don’t know what you are doing, you WILL break your website.(But there is a Reset Option, with Asset cleanup, so its easy to FIX but then you need to re-configure, etc) Make sure to use the Test Mode, or just be aware that you might break things, before you make things faster.
Asset Cleanup IS AMAZING!!!
