I have been struggling configuring postie.
I am using Hostgator
My postie settings in wordpress are
Connection…………sockets
Mail Protocol………POP3-ssl
Port………………995
mail server………..Pop.gmail.com
user name………….xxxxxxx@Gmail.com
I enabled Pop and Imap in gmail
I think I configured accounts and import properly in Gmail and I thing I have my mail configured right at Hostgator but I am not sure about these last 2 items.
The message I get from postie is: The username and password provided were not accepted for the POP3 server pop.gmail.com on port 995
