Dropdown to select email frequency from within the group is below rest of page

The link to change the email frequency from within the buddypress group shows a dialog that is partially below the rest of the page. I tried changing the z-index with no luck.

Is there anyway to either remove the link from within the group itself and just rely on the one in the group listing, or either fix the z-index.

Is there anyway to get the css to respect the site theme too? It shows up in a highlighter yellow which is difficult to read.
