Hi Illustratr Team
For a friend I have built a home page using your Illustratr portfolio/projects theme. My friend owns a physical shop selling unique handcrafted products like furniture, sculptures, paintings and jewelry. Up until now the homepage has been used to present the portfolio of my friend. The main part of the portfolio Projects represents finalized projects and products sold and no longer in the shop. Only a small fraction of the portfolio Projects represents products that are currently for sale in the store.
I am in the process adding a WooCommerce webshop to the Illustratr homepage of my friend. For our usage I find the Illustratr concepts <Projects, Project Types, Project Tags> and the WooCommerce concepts <Products, Product Categories, Product Tags> to be pretty much redundant.
I would like a WooCommerce Product to be a subtype/extension of an Illustratr Project, and I would like overlapping properties to be shared, e.g. WooCommerce Product Categories/Tags/Images/Galleries should 1:1 be the Illustratr Project Type/Tags/Images/Galleries. A WooCommerce Product should show up as a Project in the Illustratr Portfolio.
When a product is sold, it should no longer show up as a WooCommerce Product, but keep showing up as an Illustratr Project.
Does this request make sense? Is it somehow possible to implement?
Best regards,
Freddy
