Was wondering if you have any intentions of linking photos with the track. I have written a plugin (for myself) that looks at the gallery of images on the page with a track, sees if there is any exif data in the images (//http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2526304/php-extract-gps-exif-data) then if it does, sees if it is on the track, and displays it as a small thumbnail marker (if exif=true in the trackmap shortcode.
If your’s did that I could throw mine away and use yours which is way better and faster 😉
