I have a neglected WordPress blog which, though I didn’t notice it, went “off the air” in April. I contacted my web host (Earthlink) who got it back up — but I can’t access the admin panel. It has a red exclamation mark and says “This site cannot be accessed.”
The web host told me: “The PHP version was upgraded to 7.2 and your website coding is not compatible with it, So reversed it to pervious version 5.6.
I will suggest you to update your website coding before this year ending so that you do not face this issue again in future.”
Using my web host’s file manager, I can see that all the WordPress blog files are still there, but I can’t access the admin panel.
Is there a way to manually “reconnect” my blog to the admin panel?
Many thanks,
Scott
