Anchor smooth scroll from main menu to another page

Hi,

I am trying to link with anchor a section, text or image from main menu to any page on my website with smooth scroll effect from the top of the referred page to the point of the anchor.

I just use in a standard wordpress menu /mypage/#anchorname
& the anchor widget with “anchorname” in /mypage

The anchor works, without smooth scroll.

Any help will be much appreciated.
