Microsoft Outlook Signature File

Greetings,

This is a novice question but I am having difficulty figuring it out.

Problem: Client rebuilt website and apparently the previous developer created a page that had the following link structure

http://website.com/signature-file/image.jpg

His outlook signature file would call the images from the URL listed above where recipients of his email would see the image.jpg file under his signature line.

When he built the new site, he created a page and uploaded the image.jpg file but the route looks something like this

http://website.com/wp-content/uploads/december/2018/image.jpg

What resulted was a broken link in his signature file.

My best guess was that he needed to go into his file manager and create a file in the root direcotry naming it “signature-file” and then place the “image.jpg” file in that folder. This way the outlook signature file would look for and call the image from:

http://website.com/signature-file/image.jpg and voila! Problem solved! Right????

Nope…image file still showing as broken when he opens a new email.

Any help greatly appreciated…probably having a “duh moment” here and will kick myself after reading your responses. But hey…it’s been a long day..can I borrow your brains?

Thanks,

-Nick
