Hello,
I am currently running a WP multisite using subdirectories for event registrations throughout the year for one organization. All members to this site are part of the organization and the members are pooled and shared for promotion of upcoming events via newsletters. All logins are centralized. I manage all of the subdirectories for the upcoming events. Subdirectories are used to separate payments to each individual event host (like a merchant page). This method has worked very well for years.
Now the challenge; I have two other organizations that would like to have a similar setup and am wondering if it is possible to use one site for multiple organizations (subdomains?) to keep the pools of memberships segregated while allowing independent event hosts their own merchant page (subdirectories) under their respective organization’s subdomain?
Can one use subdomains and subdirectories?
Will the use of subdomains keep memberships segregated?
Is there an easier solution I’m overlooking?
