Markdown within [accordion-item] tags?

Hello,

Is Markdown possible within [accordion-item] tags?

I have a page with three lengthy bullet lists, each originally written in Markdown. Today I added accordion shortcodes to the page. The accordions work fine, but the Markdown lists no longer render correctly.

I don’t mind redoing the lists in plain HTML as they won’t change much, but just for future reference, I’d like to know if Markdown can be made to work inside accordion shortcodes.
