Gzip compression is not working

Hello,

I am trying to follow the steps in blog post to enable gzip compression using WP super cache. (See: https://torquemag.io/2016/04/enable-gzip-compression-wordpress/)

And I find that gzip compression is not working while verifying in https://checkgzipcompression.com/.

I have also looked into the .htaccess file and I couldn’t see WP supercache has overwritten anything there.

I wonder if anyone had similar issues as well?
