After clicking on “Register” redirected to “My Account” instead of “purchase”

I have created a custom registration page following the documentation instructions. After the form is filled out and “Register” is clicked it is redirected to the “My Account” page, instead of the purchase page. I have reviewed all of my settings several times and just can’t seem to get it to redirect to the proper page.
