When I add a new user, the email they receive does not give instructions and the first link takes them to a page that also is confusing.
The email the new user receives upon account creation has only four lines:
(Subject line: Your username and password info)
— Username: johndoe
— To set your password, visit the following address:
— <http://example.org/wp-login.php?action=rp&key=xxxxxxxxx&login=johndoe>
— http://example.org/wp-login.php
The first link takes them to http://example.org/wp-login.php?action=rp which has:
— “Enter your new password below” at the top
— The password field is pre-filled
— A button that reads “Reset Password”
— A text link below the password box that is “Log in”
I’m the admin and the new users are having trouble successfully signing in and I’m finding it’s because they’re not clear on what they should do.
? What is a new user supposed to do when they arrive at the RP page?
? Is there a way I can edit the email and the RP page so it makes sense?
