I updated old version of WP and traffic dropped dramatically

Hi! Last week i updated my 2012 WP site (With a 2012 version of WP, don’t remember the number) and three days later the traffic to my site dropped dramatically.

I read a lot of Google penalizations and all that stuff, but still don’t make sense to me.

You know if the update could affect the traffic of my site?
