I am sorry but I really gave Gutenberg a try, all day in fact but achieved nothing and had to revert back to Classic editor. I was simply trying to put a link on an image (in a gallery box) from the front page linked to a product category page. Though it was possible to put a link on a single image it did not allow me to do this when in a gallery, why? Also I was not able to move the images around in the box as I was told I should be able to. This is a shame as I can see the potential, it just doesn’t work. The actual editing tools are also not so easy to find and lacked functionality. These were all quite basic requirements and I thought were the reasons for the boxes, however,from my experience, they just did not work. Any suggestions for the image links? In the gallery box it gives 3 options (media, articles and none) so it just needs a Custom URL link option. Could this be added? I hope you can get this right as I am close to finishing my latest website and this introduction has now come as a bit of a blow to it’s progress. Any help appreciated.
