I’m helping a client with their site, I did not set this one up. I’m not a designer, but tech savvy enough to follow most any directions. That said, I am really struggling with the email opt-in form. They had an opt-in form on there that was previously subscribing people to a list. I created a new list in Mailchimp since they already had contacts on it because I wanted to create a new email sequence in Mailchimp for new subscribers to receive. However, I cannot now get Mailchimp to recognize when subscribers are joining via the form on the website, add them to any list (not even just the correct list, they’re disappearing into cyberspace entirely), and start my auto-email sequence. I have gone over and over the settings and don’t know what I’m missing. Instead of someone subscribing and being added to Mailchimp’s list and then getting the welcome email from Mailchimp, they are getting some other welcome email that isn’t from Mailchimp and not being added to the list at all. I have the list I want checked in the settings for the form via the Mailchimp for WP plug-in. I also have checked the debug log and there’s no errors. I turned it on to show me everything, not just errors, and it’s still blank. I have turned off two-step authentication as well.
