Changed email password = no emails sent

Hi

So I just discovered that we hadn’t received 135 completed contact form notifications (email Admin) from our website, and that the users hadn’t been emailed either. Apparently this was because I’d had to change my email (gmail) password independently, but didn’t know I had to also update the gmail password in the ‘Easy’ WP SMTP Settings / SMTP password. So my contact form plugin was recording all the client (potential, mostly now lost as a result of this glitch) form submissions, but no email actions were being taken. Surely, surely, there must be an easy fix to prevent this kind of mindless waste in the future? I.e. notify the admin that the email login check is failing? Please?

Thank you!

Luke
