I use Contact Form 7 on several websites. I have tested this with several sites.
In the Email Tab of the Contact Form 7 settings: In the To field if I use an email address that is the same as my domain the email will not send. If I use an email address that is not the same as my domain it will send.
Example:
To: info@mydomain.com
From: [your-name] <no-reply@mydomain.com>
Get message: Thank you for your message. It has been sent.
But email does not arrive.
Example:
To: mygmailaccount@gmail.com
From: [your-name] <no-reply@mydomain.com>
Get message: Thank you for your message. It has been sent.
and email does arrive.
In the from field I have tested with the below
no-reply@mydomain.com
info@mydomain.com
wordpress@mydomain.com
In all 3 tests the email goes through if the To field is something different than my domain but does not if the email is an active email address @mydomain.com
